Summary: Under the supervision of the Director, the Assistant Director shall oversee the District Student Information System (SIS), oversee State Testing, oversee curriculum programs, assessments, and gradebook programs as part of the position's primary duties. The position will also support district compliance efforts, professional development efforts, and duties as assigned, as needed. Training and Experience (position requirements at entry) ?Administrative Certificate preferred; ?Three years teaching experience preferred; ?Documented evidence of successful leadership experience; ?Or any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Licensing Requirements (position requirements at entry) ?Arizona State Administrative Principal or Curriculum Certification. ?Fingerprint Clearance Card Essential Functions: •Work cooperatively with teachers, supervisory and related administrative personnel. •Manage the curriculum and assessment programs for all students. •Maintain the Student Information System for all students and parents. •Assist in the evaluation of all instructional and support staff. •Assist in the development of programs and projects. •Monitor programs funded from external programs, including documentation. •Support all auditing and compliance activities. •Assist the Director with school improvement efforts, CNAs, IAPs, PLCs, etc. •Assist with the master schedules. •Provide assistance to the Special Education and CTE Departments. •Organize and manage standardized testing. •Support campus safety policies and procedures. •Implement all School Board Policies and Procedures. •Perform other duties as assigned by the Director. •Fulfill professional responsibility of serving on District committees as needed. •Be responsible for the health and welfare of the staff and children within the school environment. •Be accountable for his/her physical, emotional health and ethical behavior as itapplies to District job responsibilities. •Develop continued professional growth as evidenced by continuing educationalclasses, professional conferences, visitations and by maintaining current knowledgeof professional literature. •Participate in school and District functions. Physical Requirements: •Positions in this class typically require: talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitivemotions. •Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligibleamount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise moveobjects, including the human body.
